EV Charging Point Maintenance & Servicing

Keep your EV chargers running. Always.

Reliable EV Charging, Backed by Certified Engineers

When an EV charger goes offline, your users notice immediately. At ECS, we combine proactive scheduled maintenance, routine servicing and rapid reactive support to maximise uptime, safety and user satisfaction across your EV charging estate.

Whether you manage a handful of units at a single site or a large-scale estate spread across the UK, our certified engineers deliver a comprehensive, compliant and fully documented service. Every visit is carried out in accordance with BS 7671 and current EV installation guidance, so you can demonstrate compliance and protect your investment.

Preventative Maintenance and Routine Servicing

Our preventative maintenance programme is built around four core elements, each carried out by EV-trained engineers:

Annual Scheduled Inspection

A thorough on-site inspection to identify physical damage, loose connections, corrosion or shading issues that could affect performance. Includes interior check and clean of the charger unit, assessment for optimum charging rate, inspection for water ingress or overheating, and a full vandalism and tampering check.

Electrical Verification

Full testing of connections, protective devices and earth continuity to confirm ongoing electrical safety. We test emergency stop buttons and grounding, RCD and RCBO devices (Type A and Type B), PEN fault protection, CPC continuity, polarity and insulation resistance.

Software and Firmware

Keeping charger software fully up to date enhances functionality, security and network compatibility. We carry out firmware updates with version recording, functional testing of start/stop, indicators and comms, and verify back-office and app connectivity.

Certification and Reporting

Every inspection results in a completed EVCP inspection and test report, providing documented evidence for audits, insurance and regulatory requirements. A full EVCP inspection and test certificate is issued, records are maintained for compliance and audit, and reports are suitable for insurance and regulatory submission.

Reactive Maintenance

When faults occur, our engineers attend site promptly to diagnose and repair, completing works on the initial visit wherever possible. Where a fault cannot be resolved immediately, a full report and remedial quotation is provided without delay. All reactive works are carried out by qualified electricians trained in EV charging systems, in accordance with BS 7671.
