With Christmas almost up on us, ECS decided to donate food and non-food items to our local Trussell Trust Foodbank in Corby.

Along with food donations bought by ECS, and individual generous staff donations, we were able to take a large donation to the foodbank.

As a company, we are really pleased to be helping our local community, particularly where there are many families and individuals, that for one reason or another, must turn to their local foodbank for a food parcel.

Since April to September 2019 The Trussell Trust have given out 823,145 food parcels to people in crisis, with 301,653 of those supplies going to children.

It was an eye opener for members of the ECS team who were given a short tour of the foodbank. The scale of the operation, fully managed by a team of fantastic hardworking volunteers, was staggering.   The volumes of food donations waiting to be sorted and then given out was unbelievable. In the previous week, the foodbank had given out 50 tickets, i.e. 50 parcels were given out to individuals and families (containing food and non-food items).
